I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
